IBM Real World Evidence (RWE) is a SaaS offering that allows data scientists at pharmaceuticals to analyze over 150 million patients records from claims, EHR, and public data to conduct research studies such as treatment effectiveness, risk prediction, and patient similarity analysis.

My team was building this product from scratch, so we went through the entire product lifecycle from conducting exploratory research to usability testing.

My design team was comprised of 3 people: a full-time user researcher, a visual designer, and myself, the Lead UX Designer and Researcher. I collaborated the senior product managers, developers, and our machine learning research team who were located across the world in the US, Israel, Switzerland, and India.

The product launched in September 2017 and is the first to offer such a rich variety of data while immediately allowing teams to bypass the months of setup and enable them to run their studies as soon as they become users of RWE.
